Follow along as I go through the many steps of making a split bamboo rod.
Part 1
A 12' bamboo pole starts its long journey to a finished fly rod. Splitting and preparing the bamboo strips.
Part 3
Almost finished but many steps are still left to a finished rod. Gluing up the strips and adding ferrules.
Part 2
The strips are hand planed to the rods individual taper. It's starting to look like a rod!
